1. Download WordPress on new account

Install WordPress on your new hosting account to make your process of migration simple and easy. It is very easy by just ‘one click’ facility on this platform. Now, the process will start getting a bit technical and tricky though it is not a tough one or messed one.


2. Start importing all your Blogger content to WordPress

Now this is the main step of this migration process as you will be moving your old content to a new platform. So, for this process simply
Go to admin page of your WordPress and visit tools option
Select the word “import”
Click on Blogger and this will show you a popup to install the Blogger to WordPress importer.
Click on install ( WordPress will download the Blogger Importer plugin)
Click on activate plugin and everything is done.


3. Setup permalinks which match with previous ones

Permalinks helps for SEO friendly structures along with URL, so this requires a URL structure to be much similar to your previous platform.
Go to settings and select “permalink” option
Select month and name as permalink structure.


4. Set up redirection page and RSS feeds

it is very important step to redirect from old domain (Blogspot) to a new one (WordPress).
Logging into Blogger account
Go to settings-other page option-select site feed section and click on add link.
Enter your new site’s feed address.


5. Finally import images and archives to WordPress

Transfer all your media files, images and archive folders from Blogger to WordPress from WordPress importer option. It can be transferred your archive folder just by saving your .htaccess file from your old Blogger to WordPress.
